STUDIO

A studio is a decision about what to say no to.

NAP Designs is a Bengaluru product studio building web and mobile software since 2019. No account managers. No agency layers. Strategy, design, engineering, and delivery — all under one roof.

01 STORY

Six years. Twenty-five products. Every one of them shipped.

Started in 2019 doing WordPress work for local Bengaluru businesses. Grew into product engineering — Flutter, Next.js, Supabase — the year Flutter got serious about desktop and Next.js got serious about the App Router.

Today the studio ships across India, the UAE, Oman, the USA, and Australia. Clients range from a two-founder nonprofit to industrial B2B distributors. What ties the work together isn’t a category, it’s a commitment: every project ships, and every project stays shipped.

Everything below the top line — brand, product design, engineering, deployment, ops — happens inside a small, tight team. Decisions are fast. Context doesn’t get lost in a handoff. The work has one voice.

02 PRINCIPLES

Four rules the studio ships by.

01

Ship it, then say it.

Case studies are written after a product is live in the store, not after the sprint. If it hasn’t survived contact with real users, it’s not on the site.

02

One team, one voice.

Design and engineering sit at the same table. The brand looks like the product looks like the code review comments.

03

Tight toolkit, deep bench.

Next.js 15, Flutter, Supabase, Firebase, Claude API. Chosen for how well they compose, not what’s trending. Deep muscle memory beats novelty.

04

Handover, not handoff.

A project isn’t done when it ships. It’s done when your team can inherit it — with a README that reads like a colleague wrote it, not a contractor exiting.

03 PROCESS

Six weeks from brief to live in the store.

Every project runs on the same phase-gated timeline. Days shift with scope, but the shape stays. This is what six weeks looks like when nothing surprises us.

  1. Week 1 · Discovery

Sketch the whole thing on paper.

Shadow the user or founder. Map the flow. Kill scope early. By Friday there’s a one-page product brief signed by both sides.

    • User interviews
    • Flow mapping
    • Scope kill list
  2. Week 2 · Design

    Design every screen that matters.

Brand system, typography, tokens. Every screen the user will actually see. Interactive prototype by Friday for stakeholder walkthrough.

    • Design system
    • High-fi screens
    • Prototype
  3. Weeks 3–4 · Build

    Ship the core loop.

End of week 3, the primary user flow works end-to-end on a staging URL. Week 4 fills the surface — settings, admin, edge cases. Written phase gate at the end of every week.

    • Core loop live
    • Staging URL
    • Weekly phase gate
  4. Week 5 · Polish + QA

    Kill the last 100 bugs.

Live user testing, perf pass, accessibility pass, security pass. Real content from the client. Every screen looks like the design not the wireframe.

    • User testing
    • Perf pass
    • A11y pass
  5. Week 6 · Ship + Handover

Live in the store. Real docs.

Production deploy on your infra or ours. Runbook, ops handoff, README that reads like a colleague wrote it. Two weeks of hyper-care after launch.

    • Prod deploy
    • Runbook
    • Hyper-care
