The brief
Student ID cards for National Public School.
The approach
Designed for the two-second read. An ID card is checked at a gate by someone glancing at it. Photograph, name and class have to resolve instantly at arm’s length; everything else is secondary and should look it.
Designed for the print run. Thousands of cards, variable data, a fixed template. The layout has to tolerate long names, short names, and photographs shot in different years without any of them breaking the card.
